What the service does
Location Codes connects shared access codes to saved locations. The website provides the Android download and account portal. The app uses location to find nearby codes and to place new ones. Paid checkout is available through PayPal in the customer portal.
Your location and shared codes
The app uses your phone’s location to find nearby saved places, attach codes to a location, and calculate automatic day and night mode. When a location or code is saved, its coordinates, code text, contributor identifier and timestamps are stored in Firebase. Feedback records include votes, voter identifiers, scores and removal status. The app signs in to Firebase using an automatically assigned identifier; this is separate from your portal email sign-in.
Codes are shared information, not a private password vault. Saved codes, their locations and associated contribution records are accessible to other signed-in app users and approved administrators. Do not submit personal passwords, payment information, or codes you are not authorized to share. The public website shows aggregate counts, not code values or coordinates, and does not request your device’s GPS location.
API waitlist
If you join the API waitlist, we store your email, company name, optional integration message and signup date to measure interest and contact you about API availability. Joining does not create a paid account or grant API access. To withdraw your request and ask us to remove your waitlist details, email support@locationcode.org.
Your account, license and devices
The portal stores your email address, sign-in verification records, sessions, trial history, license key, license status and device associations. License services use device identifiers to activate and validate the app and enforce the two-device limit. Trial-prevention and device-history records help prevent repeated free trials and attempts to use a restricted device with another account. Device deactivation does not erase these security records. Administrators can inspect customer and device records, grant complimentary access, disable accounts and remove device activations. Administrative actions are logged with the administrator, affected email, reason, time and result.
Payments and renewals
When checkout is available, PayPal processes payments. Location Codes stores checkout references, plan choices, payment identifiers, payment status and access expiry information to provide your license and reconcile payments. Payment-card details are entered with PayPal rather than stored by this portal. Monthly and yearly purchases renew automatically until canceled; lifetime purchases do not renew. The seven-day free trial requires no payment method and does not automatically become a paid plan.
Cookies, storage and connection information
The portal uses an essential sign-in cookie that expires after 24 hours, unless you sign out sooner. Email sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes. Checkout references may be kept in browser session storage. The app stores activation and device information locally. Service requests include connection information such as IP addresses; hosting and service providers may keep operational or security logs. Sign-in and activation endpoints use request limits to reduce abuse.
The homepage download counter measures completed server transfers, not unique people, successful installations or historical downloads before tracking began. The saved-code count excludes records marked removed and is refreshed about once a minute. If an update fails, a previous total is labeled as the last known count. Neither public counter displays individual customer records.
Support messages and live chat
When you send a support message, we process your name, email address, message and connection information to respond and prevent abuse. Support messages are delivered to support@locationcode.org. Do not include access codes, license keys, passwords or payment-card details.
Live chat is provided by tawk.to and loads only when you choose to open it. Your chat messages, connection information and any details you provide are processed by tawk.to to deliver chat support. Its widget may use cookies or local storage. The website does not automatically share your portal email or license key with the chat widget.
Your English or Spanish preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. Actual app screenshots may contain English text.
Service providers
Firebase provides app authentication and shared code storage. Our hosting, email-delivery and license services process the information needed to run the website, send sign-in codes and validate access. PayPal processes purchases when enabled. The admin map loads OpenStreetMap tiles; map and address-search providers receive the requests needed to display maps or resolve an administrator’s search. Provider processing may take place outside your country.

Device records include the manufacturer and model reported by the app, an activation identifier and the last successful online check, so you can identify devices in your portal.
Retention, account closure and your choices
Account, license, payment, trial-prevention and security records are retained to operate the service, manage access and handle disputes or abuse. Expired sign-in codes and sessions cease to work, but that does not mean every stored record is automatically erased. Codes marked removed are hidden from normal app results and may remain stored.
Deactivating a device frees its license slot; it does not erase the account. An administrator’s Delete account access action disables access and stops renewals but retains email, billing, trial-prevention and security records. For a request to access, correct or erase personal information, use the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity and retain records needed for security, payment disputes or applicable obligations.
You can revoke location permission in your phone settings, although location-based features will then be limited. Use the portal or app License menu to deactivate a device. Use the portal’s Stop future renewals control to cancel recurring billing; paid access remains through its current period.
Share and enter only with permission
Only share codes you are authorized to share. Only use a code where you have permission to enter. A code appearing in the app does not grant entry rights or override a property owner’s instructions. Stand at the keypad or very close to it when using regular Add Code. Approved administrators adding codes remotely must place the map pin accurately.
Community-submitted codes can be outdated or inaccurate, and GPS is not exact. Confirm information when needed. Do not use the app while driving or rely on it for emergency access. Report codes that should not be shared so they can be reviewed.
User-submitted information and prohibited misuse
Location Codes provides a software tool for sharing and finding location-based information. Codes are submitted by users, including approved code administrators; Location Codes does not issue property access codes or grant permission to enter a property. A listing is not verification that a code is accurate, current or authorized for your use.
You are responsible for having permission both to share a code and to use it. Having received a code for one delivery does not necessarily permit sharing it with other people or using it again. Do not use the service for trespassing, burglary, stalking, harassment, theft, unauthorized access, or any other malicious or unlawful activity. Do not publish stolen codes, private passwords or information intended to help someone enter without permission.
Responsibility and limits
Users are responsible for their submissions and conduct. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Location Codes disclaims responsibility for losses or harm resulting from a user’s unlawful or malicious use of the app, unauthorized sharing or use of codes, or reliance on inaccurate user-submitted information. Code availability, accuracy and successful entry or delivery are not guaranteed.
Nothing in this notice authorizes unlawful conduct or excludes liability, duties or rights that cannot legally be excluded. Providing a software tool does not create blanket immunity for the operator’s own conduct. This notice does not waive a property owner’s rights.
Report unauthorized codes or misuse
If you own, manage or are authorized to act for a property and believe a listing is unauthorized, or if you suspect misuse, email support@locationcode.org. Include the location, your relationship to the property and a description of the issue; do not send the access code itself. We may request information to verify a report and may remove listings or restrict accounts. For an immediate threat or emergency, contact local emergency services.

Describe the request and the account or location involved. Do not include a one-time sign-in code, a full license key, payment-card details or an access code. Changes to this notice will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
